We are currently accepting submissions of poetry, fiction, drama, and art portfolios. We also welcome pitches (max 100 words) for reviews, essays, interviews, and portfolios of visual art. Please read our About page and browse through some pieces we’ve published to understand our approach.

Caesura currently lacks the resources to compensate contributors, but we hope to change that in the near future. We claim first serial rights and right to archive.

Caesura is hosts bimonthly critique sessions. We invite artists to submit their work to be judged by their peers — the editors and contributors of Caesura, fellow artists, and the interested public. For every session, five artists will be chosen at random and each given ten minutes to present their work and twenty minutes for critical feedback. This is an opportunity not only for artists to address their audience, but equally for that audience to address itself — to learn what it thinks when it sees and to name the thoughts that escape it, to enunciate the features of an experience which an artwork has caused them to suffer. All media are welcome — visual art, writing, music, etc.
