Critique Session Submissions

 Caesura is hosting bimonthly critique sessions, streamed live on the third Sunday of every month. We invite artists to submit their work to be judged by their peers — the editors and contributors of Caesura, fellow artists, and the interested public. For every session, five artists will be chosen at random and each given ten minutes to present their work and twenty minutes for critical feedback. This is an opportunity not only for artists to address their audience, but equally for that audience to address itself — to learn what it thinks when it sees and to name the thoughts that escape it, to enunciate the features of an experience which an artwork has caused them to suffer. All media are welcome — visual art, writing, music, etc.

Submissions for our next critique are due on April 15th. The session will be hosted on Sunday, April 25th, 2021.
