Carolyn Forrester (b. 1993, West Point, NY) lives and works in Baltimore, MD. Her work incorporates personal photography and digital printing processes into a narrative around the persona of the artist, hesitation and narcissism. Her paintings have been included in numerous group exhibitions at spaces including ICA Baltimore (2020) and Maryland Hall (2020). Her work has also been featured in print and digital publications, including the Vassar Review (2020). She was chosen to attend the Saas-Fee Summer Institute of Art (2019) and ICA Baltimore’s BADAS program (2020), and has received fellowships that include a CIPE Research Fellowship from Yale University (2014). She received a B.A. from Yale University in 2015 and an MFA from the Leroy E. Hoffberger School of Painting, MICA, in 2020. She is the cofounder of Inadequate Lighting, an apartment gallery in Baltimore, MD.
